Day 8(24/09/09):
Today we went to Koln, Germany. It is a very nice place that people should visit. It is home to The Koln Cathedral.
I took a picture of this train as passengers are allowed to bring their bicycles on board the trains.
We took a different train to Koln Hbf from Bochum Hbf.
We arrived at Koln. Right outside the train station was the Koln Cathedral. The design of the church was stated to be Gothic. The moment i saw the church i went WoW!!
The time we entered the church. They were having their prayers.
Outside the Church there was this man who was using chalk to draw a picture of a white tiger. It was amazing. He is extremely talented.
The we decided to cross the bridge of Koln above the Rhine River. We were having lots of fun on the way across.
If you look a the picture closely. You will see locks on the bridge. Hundreds of them. There is a story behind this. The Rhine River had divided Koln in to 2 halves. This bridge was built to connect the 2 halves and make it one. All the Lovers around the world came to this bridge and carved their names on the locks and locked it to the bridge. This symbolised the fact that Love is the bridge link 2 souls together.
This was the group of people i went with to Koln. They from all parts of the world like; Russia, France, Italy, Holland, Jordan, China, Spain, Turkey and more..
The Rhine River.
Well this was all the fun i had for this day.
